Well we do - sometimes: but in most cases we prefer not to, simply because most visitors to our customers' sites are looking for information or products - not entertainment. Flash often distracts from your message, and makes your pages slower to load, frustrating your customers rather than helping them. So we try to use Flash only when it helps you win more sales.
We want to make it easy to integrate your database into your business activities. So when a customer fills in an enquiry form on your website, your website doesn't just send you an email, it also logs the enquiry and contact details in a database for you. We also give you the facility to ask for reports from your database, or to download the information into spreadsheets or other applications for analysis.
Databases don't just help you manage your incoming traffic, they help you keep your site up-to-date with your latest offerings. So when you change your product range, it is a simple matter to add new product descriptions to the database by filling in a form in your own administration website, and your website will immediately display the new products automatically. Changing prices, adding pictures, withdrawing sold or out-of-stock items
When we develop a website we like everybody to be able to view it, not just those with the latest version of Internet Explorer. As part of our efforts to ensure the long-term maintainability, browser compatibility and future-proofing of websites produced by Intercept Solutions, we make extensive use of CSS as our preferred method of controlling layout and presentation. We also have stringent procedures for validating our work for standards compliance. This means that you website reaches the widest audience.
All pages on this website have validated for their conformance with the W3C standards for XHTML, and CSS2, using tools published by the W3C (the people who dictate how the internet should work) and are entitled to display the W3C logos below. (We don't usually display them though, unless they are relevant to your business)
Even customers with old computers and browsers can see your message - you don't shut anybody out.
All businesses are expected to make their premises and services accessible to the disabled, and websites are no exception. Modern websites should allow for navigation and 'reading' by visitors with a variety of handicaps and computer aids. While it is not practical to test our pages for compatibility with all the screen readers and other software tools available, we do adhere to industry guidelines. All informational pages on this website have been tested for conformance with the W3C Guidelines on Accessibility, and are permitted to display the AAA logo.
